One of the major goals and objectives of the Weyburn Co-op under the "Member Benefits Program" is building a stronger community. Year 2007 is the 10th year of operation of our "Community Deck". The Co-op provides the deck to various community organizations to assist in their fund-raising efforts. In 2007, 31 groups, earning over $8,442 to invest back into our community, used the deck. The Co-op supplies all the equipment, signage, advertising, and food supplies up to $100.00. The organization using the deck provides workers to run the event and then keeps the profits to reinvest into community activities. Over the past 9 years local charities have earned in excess of $ 104,000 to assist with their community work.
